The Chamber gives a full month of appreciationt o all new and existing industries for their commitment to our community in October. Industry Appreciation Month, which is coordinated by the Industry Appreciation Committee, includes several events planned for our industry partners and several for the entire partnership to attend, including
- Industry of the Year
- Women in Industry Breakfast
- Industry of the Year Employee Appreciation Event
- Industry Appreciation Banquet

Industry of the Year
Every year nominations are accepted for the Industry of the Year award. The recipient of the award is announced at a news conference at the beginning of October. The Industry of the Year is then honored at the Industry Appreciation Banquet.
In 2009, Berry Plastics Corporation was honored as the Industry of the Year.
Women in Industry Breakfast

The Women in Industry Breakfast is a time to show appreciation to all women in the industry workforce. Breakfast is complimentary, and we have tons of door prizes and goodie bags for everyone.
Attendance maxes out at 100, so you will need to reserve your spot fast.
Industry Of The Year Employee Appreciation Event
Employees of the industry that is honored at the Industry of the Year are invited to the Industry of the Year Employee Appreciation Event. The Industry Appreciation Committee celebrates these employees with a meal, door prizes and goodie bags.

Industry Appreciation Banquet
The Industry Appreciation Banquet is dedicated to honoring the industries of South Central Kentucky. The Industry of the Year is honored at this banquet and all new and expanding industries along with the regional Industry of the Year recipients are recognized as well. This is also a great networking event with average attendance of 450 Chamber and regional partners.
The 2009 Industry Appreciation Banquet will be held on October 27 at Sloan Convention Center.
