Legislative Forums and Updates
The Legislative Action Committee coordinates Legislative Forums and Updates to educate the Chamber partnership on the happenings in the legislative world.
Legislative Forums are held throughout the year and vary on topics. Some are election forums held to educate the public on candidates running for office. Other forums are dedicated to certain topics such as health care or personnel issues.
Legislative Updates are held at the end of each state legislative session. The Legislative Updates give attendees a chance to hear about certain issues and bills that will affect South Central Kentucky. Attendees also have the opportunity to ask questions of the legislators unscripted.
South Central Kentucky Night
South Central Kentucky Night is a legislative reception held in Frankfort, Ky., during the long legislative session (even numbered years). All Kentucky legislative delegates are invited to attend along with South Central Kentucky regional partners.
South Central Kentucky Night gives our regional partners a chance to meet one-on-one with our state legislators. Attendees can talk politics or simply get to know their legislators while enjoying food, drinks and live music by a string quartet.
The Legislative Action Committee works hard to find sponsors so that this night can be enjoyable for everyone.
Sponsor South Central Kentucky Night.
