The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates the beginning of a new school year at Western Kentucky University with the Welcome Back Western Festival. Booth space is rented out to Chamber partners to display items from their businesses to entice Western Kentucky University students to use partners' products or services. This is an all-day event that takes place on Western Kentucky University's South Lawn in August.
Businesses have exposure to more than 2,000 Western Kentucky University students. Businesses will want to come armed with giveaways and door prizes for the students. August is hot, so refreshments are always an added incentive to get the students to your booth. Registration forms for the Welcome Back Western Festival are available in the June and August Chamber Connection newsletter and on bgchamber.com.

2007 Event is a Success
The Welcome Back Western Festival was held on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 on Western Kentucky University’s campus. More than 50 Chamber partners had booths to showcase their business to more than 2,000 Western students. Welcome Back Western took place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the Downing University Center South Lawn. Students enjoyed free samples, give-aways and door prizes at the booths. A special "thank you" goes out to Jeff Younglove and his staff at Western Kentucky University for helping make this such a successful event!
