The Chamber is happy to announce that R. Marc Elliott, CEcD, AICP has joined us as vice president, property development. Marc comes to the Chamber from Clark County, Indiana, where he was the consultant to the River Ridge Development Authority.
Marc brings great talent and experience to the Chamber team. It's unusual for a team this size to have more than one Certified Economic Developer, but Marc holds this designation alongside our president and CEO, James N. Hizer, CEcD.
In addition to his CEcD designation from the International Economic Development Council, Marc has been a Certified Planner by the American Institute of Certified Planners since 1978, and he became a Certified Community Development Grant Manager by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation in 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in urban planning and a Master of Public Administration degree, both from Ball State University. He has also completed 17 hours of real estate studies at Eastern Kentucky University.
As vice president, property development, Marc manage the business operations of the Inter-Modal Transportation Authority, Inc. and the Bowling Green Area Economic Development Authority, Inc.
